— For the first time ever, I’m going to cover a couple topics relating to the amazing CSS Houdini. CSS Houdini allows you to tap into the CSS API to do all sorts of very interesting things. While it’s not very supported, the future of CSS is looking very bright for frontend developers with Houdini.
In this video, we’ll cover 2 of the 7 layers of CSS Houdini (Paint and Properties). We’ll create a custom Paint worklet with the help of CSS properties. These properties aren’t regular CSS custom properties, they have extra abilities, which you’ll see!
