What is Google Adwords?

Google AdWords is an online advertising service developed by Google, where advertisers pay to display brief advertisments, service offerings, product listings, and video content within the Google ad network to web users

We start off by creating a new Google Adwords account. Make sure you have an email account (It’s free to setup). Next we setup our first campaign and in this video I setup a campaign for a local cleaning business in London but the method can be used worldwide.

In setting up the campaign, always make sure you target the right location, select your bidding strategy (If you don’t know how to set that up feel free to contact us). One important thing is to setup conversion tracking on Google Analytics.

Once we setup the campaign, we then setup an Adgroup for the keyword “carpet cleaning” in a Broad Match, Exact Match and Phrase Match. We then setup an Ad and folliwing that we put in some Ad-extentions. Ad extentions will help boost your quality score and make sure you try to squeeze in the keyword you’re targeting as many times as possible.

Once the campaign is enabled, just give it a few days and gather some data, keeping an eye on the search terms (any bad search terms should be added to the negative keywords list). Eventually you should start seeing results and hopefully get a good ROI.
