Do It Yourself – Website Tutorials
In this tutorial, I will show you how to build a software developer portfolio using Wix. Start creating your own today: https://www.wix.com/KylieYing
A portfolio website as a software developer contains your previous projects and experience, and is a great platform to showcase your technical ability and stand out to potential employers.
As I make my programmer portfolio website, I will create an about section, contact page, projects page, and resume page. The projects and resume page are critical for displaying your previous work and technical credentials. Thanks to Wix, I was able to create a professional-looking portfolio website by editing an existing template. I will go through the step-by-step process of putting together the site in this video! Check out the final portfolio website here: https://www.kylieying.com

I know this will be a question, so let me address why I chose to create a website using Wix, rather than from scratch. Building and maintaining a site takes a lot of time and energy, but does not offer much return on investment since I am not a front-end/web developer. Since I want an efficient method to simply showcase my technical skills and projects, Wix is a straightforward platform that allows me to achieve my goal (and not get frustrated trying to center a div for 90 minutes lol).
