Let’s get started.

In today’s video tutorial, as part of our Wix Series, I’ll show you how to:
➜ Sign up for your Wix account
➜ And how to choose the best template for your website, in order to get you started building your very own site, as quickly and easily as possible

— SIGN UP FOR WIX —
Step 1. Go to Wix: https://bit.ly/37a8IG2 and click “Start Now”.

Step 2. Fill out the Sign Up form.

– Wix Questionnaire:

Click “SKIP”.

– Wix Editor: Choose from 700+ fully customizable templates and then modify them to suit your needs.

Select “Choose a Template”.

— CHOOSE THE BEST TEMPLATE FOR YOUR WEBSITE —
Step 1. Know what type of website you’re building.

In this step, you choose a type of website.

There are 5 main types of websites available through Wix:
– Business and Services
– Store
– Creative
– Community
– Blog

Step 2. Select a category.

The 5 main types are broken down into 19 categories. So, in this step, select one of these 19 categories, for your type of website.

Step 3. Select a sub-category.

There are a further 78 sub-categories offered by Wix. Select a sub-category, to narrow down the choice of templates to something specifically matching your needs.

Step 4. Select one of the remaining templates.

Now, from the over 700 templates that we started with, you’re down to a handful, that match specifically what kind of website you’re trying to create.

Step 5. Take a closer look at the template you’ve chosen.

Hover over a template to reveal more about it. Click on “Info” to find out who the template would be good for. You can also click on “View”, to preview the template.

If you like what you see, look closer by clicking on “View Full Demo”.

— ALTERNATIVES TO THE 5-STEP SYSTEM —
Step 1. Use search.

You can search for something specific, regardless of category, using the Search box, in the top-right hand corner.

Step 2. Go new.

View the newest templates from the top-right hand menu bar. Hover over “More” and select “New Templates”.

Step 3. Go popular.

View the newest templates from the top-right hand menu bar. Hover over “More” and select “Most Popular”.

Step 4. Mix & Match.

You can also take inspiration from multiple templates and use the one you like the most, and then incorporate elements from the other templates into your own website.
