How To Create A Contact Form For WordPress For Free:
1. Create a contact form with Google Forms.
You will first need to head over to Google Forms and then on the starting page, select the Contact Information template. It will then open it up in a new tab and it will already have general contact form questions in the form.
Then, to embed this into your WordPress click on send at the top of your screen and then click on the code icon and copy the embed code provided. Then, go to your wordpress account and add a new page. Give the page a title and then click on the + button on the page and select Code. Then, click on Custom HTML code and paste the code in there.
2. Create a form using a WordPress Plugin.
I will show you how to use Ninja Forms to create a contact form in WordPress. So, in WordPress hover over plugins and then click on “add new.” Then, in the search tab, write Ninja Forms and then click on Install Now and then activate it. Then, you will see that Ninja Forms appears in the sidebar.
So, click on Ninja Forms and then click on “Add New.” Here, you have several different options for different form types. For a contact form, select the “Contact Us” template and then it will guide you to a page where it already has a few general questions, but by clicking on the fields, you can customize each one. But, this is quite limited in design unless you enable developer mode. So, once you are finished editing, click on Publish and then exit out of the tab.
Then, to insert the contact form, create a new page in WordPress and click on the + button on the page and click on browse all. There, select Ninja Form and from the drop down menu select your contact form and it will insert it onto the page.
3. Create A Form Using involve.me
What makes involve.me forms different than the other 2 options?
1. The content can look like your brand. You can add your own backgrounds, use your company colours, even upload your own fonts.
2. The content is smarter. You can make logic branches that skip irrelevant questions or ask follow up questions. You can also include answers from early questions in later questions.
3. The content can lead different people to different outcomes. involve.me forms can prequalify leads and send them on different paths. Qualified leads can book a call with your sales team while others don’t even have to make it to your inbox.
Once you are logged in, just go to templates and then to find a contact form, click on “form” under categories and you will find several contact form templates.
To select a template, click on Choose and then in the editor, you have several design and customization features. You can add a background image and change the font and style of the form. You can even add videos, images, or gifs and there is a very wide range of options you have in involve.me that you can add by simply dragging and dropping it onto the screen.
Once you have finished editing the form to your brand and design it the way you want it, click on publish and you even have options to send automatic emails to your participants.
You can also easily integrate your form with several other third-party platforms so you can monitor and track the progress of your form.
Then, click on publish again and you will receive a custom link for your form as well as an embed code and a unique QR code. To embed this form into your WordPress, just go over to your WordPress Contact page and paste the code into the custom HTML code box.
