I think that jQuery mobile is still the best front end framework for developers who are interested in making sites that look extremely good on mobile devices.
It’s easy to use. It has unrivalled browser compatibility. It has a truck load of libraries, all of which have been tested and used inside out. It will work on older Blackberry phones and even old iPad 2s. It has perfect stability (because it is no longer being updated).
It’s FANTASTIC.
Of course, it’s very old and very unhip.
I happen to think that jQuery mobile is the best front-end CSS framework for developers, even after all these years. To me, it’s like an abandoned diamond mine. Maybe it’s time to go back into that mine.
What do you reckon? Have I missed something?
