Market Samurai Review – How To Do Local SEO in 2020 – Tips & Tactics You Can Use
Local SEO is a bit different than generic SEO where you would like to rank for keywords targeting a global or wider audience.
The first step is to determine which local keywords would you like to rank for. Checking the SEO competition for local keyword research data is important here because different locations, cities, states and countries will show different results.
If you are in the US, and I’m in Canada, you’ll definitely get a different search results and that’s totally because Google and the search engines want to be relevant and localized as this is what their users are expecting.

The next part is finding out what the SEO competition looks like. Is it difficult to rank for your targeted keywords? Are those keywords that you are trying to rank for informational or commercial keywords? If you’re a local business owner, you’ll want to avoid the informational keywords first and focus on the commercial keywords first because those keywords are the ones that will bring in the most value for your efforts.

In this video, I also shared one secret strategy on how to find the best places to get local citations. Local citations is the key to ranking higher in the search engines for local search results. I revealed that strategy in this video as well.
Finally, backlinks are still super important in getting top rankings. I use Market Samurai as well as other SEO Softwares to get top rankings. But a big part of that strategy is finding where I could get backlinks from. And one of the best strategies to do that is to find where your competitors are getting their backlinks.
You can easily sort the backlinks by citation flow. You would like to go after backlinks that have at least 10-20 citation flow and depending on the difficulty of the keyword you are trying to go after.
