Search Engine Optimization Tips

In this video I want to start off the journey of creating (or updating) a website and try to make the steps, advice and journey as straightforward ans stress-free as possible.
We start the process in this first video with a blank sheet of paper and an exercise in writing down the words that best describe what you do and what you want o be found for.
I also call this your ‘intent’. These words will be used later on down the line to form the backbone of what you say and how you speak on your website. These key words will are the bricks and everything else will cement them together into something strong.

Next is a link to some free tools to research how popular your own keywords are; this will help you understand whether some will be more important to you than others. Next up you could do with understanding a little more about how Google works – this is directly from them and is a really good way of introducing you to some search terminology to get you used to what i will be talking about in future videos. https://www.google.com/search/howsearchworks/
