Yoast SEO Free Plugin for WordPress Review – Rank Blog Posts Higher
Since 2008, Yoast SEO has successfully ranked millions of sites globally higher in search engines like Google.
Yoast SEO WordPress plugin users range from the barber around the corner to some of the most popular websites in the world.
Yoast SEO Free plugin for WordPress includes everything you need to manage search engine optimization, and the Yoast SEO Premium add-on and its extensions unlock even more tools and functionality.
To rank highly in search engines, you need to beat the competition. You need a better, faster, stronger website than the people who sell or do the same kinds of things as you.
Yoast SEO is the most used SEO plugin on WordPress, and has helped millions of people like you get ahead.
The Yoast SEO plugin modifies the HTML code of your pages and other things so that your site’s pages rank better in search engines.
Why Yoast SEO is good? Yoast SEO is a WordPress plugin that is designed to help your site rank better in search engines like Google. It also provides you with the tools to make your website content meet the highest standards for SEO and general readability.
Is Yoast SEO enough for WordPress search engine optimization? Overall, it’s a very powerful plugin. Yoast helps with on-page search engine optimization. It helps where you add a good SEO title, keywords, description and slug.
I personally use the free version of the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin and it has worked well and got my website pages high in Google search results for various keywords. There is also a paid version of the plugin, Yoast SEO Premium, but for me the free version has been good enough and has produced good results.
The free version of the Yoast SEO plugin covers the following things, among others. You don’t really need to know anything about them or change the settings.
However, you have to copy the address of your XML sitemap to add it to the Google Search Console. The sitemap will be automatically updated and Google will automatically retrieve your sitemap from time to time, so you only need to add it once.
Next, I’ll explain how I use the Yoast SEO plugin when publishing blog posts on my blog. First I have to login to my WordPress website’s admin dashboard.
Let’s say my blog site title is Robotics and Autonomous Systems. The site meta description could be for example Robotics and automation engineering, artificial intelligence, how robots work and the future of robotics. So the title tag of the homepage is Robotics and Autonomous Systems, a choice you can find in the Seach Appearance and General section of Yoast SEO.
I then edit the title tag (SEO title) and meta description of the WordPress articles.
That’s it. So if the title of the article is, for example, How Robotics is Changing the Future of Healthcare, its title tag will be defined with this phrase and its meta description with this phrase, plus the phrase This blog is about robotics and artificial intelligence.
When I publish a new article on my WordPress blog, I will of course add the title and the text of the article, and choose the category of the article. In addition to this, below the article, you will find the Yoast SEO specifications. The most important of these specifications is Focus Keyphrase.
The focus keyword or keyphrase is the search term you want a page or post to rank best for. When people search for that phrase, they should find that page. I don’t know exactly how this function works, but it’s a good idea to put the title of the article in this field, which contains the most important keywords for the content of the article.
As you can see, SEO and Readability have orange faces, so that’s a good thing. The page could perhaps have been better optimised for SEO, but that’s OK.
A slug is a part of a URL that uniques a certain page on a website in an easy-to-read format. It is the part of the URL that describes the content of the page. You can leave this field blank.
Yoast SEO Free Plugin for WordPress is a really powerful tool for search engine optimization and will get your blog pages high in Google and other search engine results. I highly recommend it.
